Yield Strategies

Zyfai offers three strategy tiers, each designed for a different risk appetite. When deploying your Agent, you choose the strategy that aligns with how you want your capital managed.

Once your Agent is active, you can further customize protocol and pool selection from the Customization page in your dashboard.

Conservative

The Conservative strategy prioritizes capital preservation and yield stability. Agents operating under this strategy allocate exclusively to the most liquid and battle-tested pools across supported chains.

Pool selection favors established protocols with deep liquidity, consistent APY history, and high scores across all dimensions of the Risk Dashboard (smart contract, economic, and counterparty risk). The Agent avoids pools with volatile yield patterns or shallow TVL, even if they offer temporarily higher returns.

This strategy is designed for users and institutions who value predictability and security over maximum yield. Returns are lower than the Aggressive strategy but significantly more stable over time.

Aggressive

The Aggressive strategy targets higher returns by expanding the Agent's allocation scope to include higher-yielding pools that carry additional risk. These pools may involve newer protocols, higher utilization markets, or assets with greater yield volatility.

The Agent still enforces all rebalancing rules and risk validation checks. No pool is allocated to without passing the same multi-factor validation gate. The difference is in the threshold: the Aggressive strategy accepts pools that score lower on stability metrics in exchange for higher expected APY.

This strategy is designed for users with a higher risk tolerance who are comfortable with greater yield variance in pursuit of stronger returns.

Yield Maxxing

The Yield Maxxing strategy extends the Agent's allocation scope beyond instant-liquidity pools into a curated set of asynchronous vaults (ERC-7540). These vaults run their own internal strategies, including leveraged positions and curated multi-protocol allocations, and consistently offer some of the highest yields available onchain.

The tradeoff is liquidity. Async vaults require a notice period to exit: positions are unwound, NAV is calculated, and withdrawals are processed in a queue. Under Yield Maxxing, withdrawals clear within 24 hours instead of instantly.

New opportunities are sourced by Scout, an internal Zyfai Agent that continuously scans the DeFi market. Scout pulls every pool listed on DefiLlama and every incentive program on Merkl, deduplicates entries, filters out pools Zyfai already supports, and narrows the remainder by Zyfai's risk validation checks.

The resulting shortlist is reviewed daily by the quant team, which evaluates each candidate against the risk framework. Vaults that pass are added to the Yield Maxxing strategy. Vaults that stop passing are removed. Vaults rotate in and out without any action required from the user. Once a vault is added to the strategy, Agents pick it up automatically.

How to Choose

All three strategies run on the same infrastructure: the same Security Proxy Gateway enforcement, the same auto-compounding, the same Capital Splitting logic, and the same ZK-proven execution. The differences are in pool eligibility and withdrawal liquidity.

Conservative and Aggressive operate exclusively in instant-liquidity pools. Yield Maxxing adds access to async vaults with higher yield potential and withdrawals that clear within 24 hours.

You can review the risk profile of every pool your Agent has access to on the Risk Dashboard. Strategy selection can be changed at any time from the Customization page in your dashboard.
